ABSENTEEISM The provisions of this policy shall be consistent with the provisions of the Putnam County Schools policy manual.
- Students are permitted six (6) parent notes per yearwhich will be excuse for any reason.
- Excuses must be submitted within three (3) daysafter returning to school – NO EXCEPTIONS!
- In order for excuses to be properly recorded, pleasesubmit them directly to the office. Do not given them to a teacher.
- Medical appointments (must submit excuse from the doctor)
- Failure of the bus to run (driver must verify this with school)
- School-approved activities
- Funeral
- Legal appointments
- Gifted classes
- Vacations
- Suspensions
- Absences with parent notes exceeding the allowable six.
