If you see these students wish them good luck.  They will be participating in the county math field day at G.W. Middle school on February 21 at 2:00.

Congratulations Tanner Sigman

Last year, over 50 people tried out to be one of the 9 finalists for symphony idol.  Each contestant sang 2 different selections for a panel of four judges.  The judges including Maestro Grant Cooper, Mountain Stage Director Larry Groce, opera singer Randal Reed-Smith, and soprano Mariel van Dalsum-Boggs.  Tanner sang Mozart’s Laudate Dominum and the Spanish song la na nanita and was chosen as one of the finalists.  He will be singing both of these songs with the West Virginia Symphony on February 15.  Tanner is the youngest contestant.  He will be interviewed on V-100 on February 14 at 8:30 a.m.  Everyone needs to come out on February 15 and hear some fantastic singers.  The event will be held at 8:00 p.m. at the Clay Center in Charleston.
