Team I (6th Grade) Web Page Team II (7th Grade) Web Page Team III (8th grade) webpage Team IV (Related Arts) Web Page Putnam County Middle Childhood Level At the Middle Childhood Level (6-8), students continue to master the basic academic skills, receive appropriate guidance services and have the opportunity to explore and identify their own interests and talents. The curriculum includes career exploration units and activities, enhanced computer instruction and utilization, the assessment of students' interests and aptitudes, implementation of a responsible behavior program, participation in work-based experiences, introduction to the high school cluster curriculum, as well as the development of individual educational plans for the first two years of high school. Math Tutoring Program Poca Middle School has a pilot program contracted with Putnam County Schools and Apangea Learning for increasing math proficiency. The program is Tuesday through Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. Snacks and transportation home is provided. Apangea is a computer program which will test and place the student in the appropriate level to build on existing skills to increase their knowledge. On-line tutoring is given through the program and teachers are available to help personally.
