HMS School Activities

  

On behalf of the American Heart Association and the millions of Americans we serve, thank you very much for your school’s participation in the 2007-08 Jump Rope For Heart program and your donation of $7559.79! Families and schools are the two most critical links in providing the foundation for physical activity and nutrition. By holding this event at your school, you reinforced the important lifelong habits of eating right, exercise, and staying tobacco free. Thank you.

Almost every family in America is touched by heart disease or stroke, more than the next three leading causes of death combined. Hurricane Middle School's contribution of $7,559.79 will significantly impact this fight agains the nation's #1 and #3 killers, heart disease and stroke.

RAZE

Our RAZE crew the “HMS-Skins” is dedicated to “Snuffing Out” Big Tobacco.  We educate the community and school about the dangers of tobacco products by “tearing down tobacco lies.”  We hope to prevent a new generation of tobacco non-users by performing “Commotions.”  Our crew has grown every year, last year boasting over 100 members.  In 2007-2008 we are looking forward to our most successful school year to date.
