ELECTRONIC DEVICES Electronic devices (cell phones, IPODs, etc.) should not be in students' possession during the school day. If observed, devices may be confiscated and consequences assigned. Office phones are available for emergencies. Pay phones are available for other calls. The parent may pick up devices through arrangement with the school office. (There are circumstances in which the principal may approve a waiver.) STUDENT PLANNERS In high school, students are expected to develop organizational skills such as planning, time management, and decision making. Students are expected to become independent and self directed. To help you, the school system has given each student a planner. Planners are used in the business and professional world by most employees. You are expected to keep this planner with you every day in school. Use it for planning, tracking your grades, and writing down assignments. If you lose your planner, a new one can be purchased in the office for $5. Detention hall or other consequences may result for students who do not use their planner. Please use your planner for: Setting goals Keeping homework assignments Recording daily grades Remembering appointments and obligations Referring to school rules
STUDENT DRESS CODE These regulations are minimum standards for attire and appearance. Please help us maintain high standards to enhance our educational program. Upper body: Students have the right to wear any headwear or shirt provided it meets the following conditions. Headwear may not be worn except with special permission of the principal. The midriff is not bare, front or back. While standing straight, shirts, tops or blouses must come to the top of the pants or other lower body attire. See-through tops or open-sided shirts shall be worn with a shirt underneath. Shirts, tops, and dresses must have straps of one-inch minimum width at the shoulders.
Lower body: Attire for the lower body must meet the following standards: Lower body attire shall be no shorter than mid-thigh. (Holes in garments must not be above the knees.) Footwear with soles must be worn while on campus.
Additional Note: Undergarments should always be covered. |
